This song, written and recorded by the Irish Rovers for their 1969 album, “Takes to Warm Your Mind,” lends its second line to the title of the short story collection of the same name.  The author is grateful to the Irish Rovers for their indulgence in the reprinting of the lyrics to “Stop, Look, Listen,” also grateful to John Greenleaf Whittier for penning the poem, “In School Days.”
