OTHER ENTERPRISES

In addition to connecting you with the enterprises of guiding, writing (and irritating the politically incorrigible), small-scale woodworking, and dabbling in family history, DamnYankee.com also publicizes these enterprises:

BEER-MAKING
DamnYankee LLC owns the brand, Proverbial Beer, (trademark pending, immortalized by the expression: “See you tomorrow, if I don't get run over by the proverbial beer truck...”). We don't have a commercial beer-making license, so Proverbial Beer is not available to buy. However, we have produced it in significant quantity for special events locally, and it may be offered spontaneously on other occasions. Talk to us...

MAINE MAPLE SYRUP
We tap a few trees each year and make gallons of maple syrup, which is now selling for over $50 a gallon. At best, we are a source of information about doing it yourself.

TRAINING IN FIREARMS AND HUNTING
David Woodbury is licensed by the state of Maine in firearms instruction and hunter safety education. Firearms instruction is by special arrangement, so contact us for arrangements. Hunter safety courses are scheduled by the state, so check this site for current opportunities.

GIFT CERTIFICATES
Consider giving a guided trip as a gift, and announce it with a beautiful 8½ x 11 gift certificate almost suitable for framing, (designed from an old, blank Bangor and Aroostook Railroad stock certificate). See what we do and customize an excursion.

HOBBIES AND MORE
Making homemade maple syrup. HO-gauge model railroading with a focus on collecting models of every type built by the Lima Locomotive Works, collecting historical documents (many of which go with genealogy), making decorations for the home using materials found in the woods of Maine, harvesting road-kill moose and deer for meat and other species for study, entomology, photography, sketching... Maybe that’s all. Contact me for more information.
